How to get to Salamanca

1. BY TRAIN
At the airport take a taxi to Chamartin Train Station (be carefull because there are two train stations in Madrid and the only one that has trains to Salamanca is Chamartin station). The price for the taxi should be around 25€ (depends on your luggage) and it will take you half an hour. The taxi journey should not cost you more than 30 €
Then take the train to Salamanca. There are 6 train services from Madrid/Chamartin to Salamanca daily and the journey will take you two hours and a half. Train departure times:

Alternatively you could take the underground from the airport to Chamartin train station. It costs 1.15 Euros and takes about 30 minutes. You will have to change line once at 'Nuevos Ministerios'.

2. BY BUS
After your arrival to the Barajas Airport you will have to take a taxi from the airport to 'Sur - Mendez Alvaro Bus Station' . The price for the taxi should be around 25€ (it depends on your luggage) and it will take you half an hour. The taxi journey should not cost you more than 30 €
Then at the bus station you will have to take an express bus to Salamanca, you have one every hour:
From 07.00 to 22.00 hours (Monday to Satudary)
From 08.00 to 23.00 hours (Sunday)
Orientative prices: One Way ticket 15 € Return ticket 26
Alternatively you could take the underground from the airport to the underground station at ‘Plaza Sur - Mendez Alvaro’. It costs 1.15 Euros and it takes you about 40 minutes. You will have to change line once at 'Nuevos Ministerios'.
