It is celebrated a pilgrimage outing in traditional Salamanca traditional charro dress on September the 8th to the Peña de Francia Shrine. From 8th to 21st, festivities in honour of the Virgen de la Vega (Virgin of the Valley) and St Matthew take place in Salamanca. The local fairs in Salamanca are celebrated the first two weeks in September. They commemorate the cattle activity of which the city was at center stage in other times. It offers a great variety of cultural and playful activities for all people, headed by traditional Bullfights, with a poster of first figures. In addition, it is celebrated the Farming Fair of Castile and Leon, with exhibitions and samples of different products from the all over the region. Theatre plays, musical concerts and other representations are also carried out.
