Can you tell us something about your experience at UNIVERSPAIN? What about the school?
I really enjoyed learning Spanish there. It was a four-week immersion course and I was surprised at how quickly I learnt.
The teacher was friendly and attentive and she could explain things in an easy way. The class was composed of five students who were from different countries and had the same level as mine. Conversation was a very important part of the course and we spoke about different subjects; the teacher often told us anecdotes and amusing stories. It became easier and easier for me to speak Spanish when getting into conversation with somebody or when asking for information. After a few weeks, I could understand almost everything when listening to a native speaker and I could catch the general meaning of Spanish movies.
Did you like the town?
Yes, definitely. I was fascinated by the lively atmosphere of Salamanca and I always had a great time when I went out at night.
I met a lot of people who I made friends with…I’ve kept in contact with some of them. In the sunny days I used to walk in the historical centre, near the Cathedral, or sit by the river Tormes, just a few metres from the “Puente Romano”…I miss so much those days!
